The team travelled to Netley with a full squad available.
Astro started the game really well and for the first 5 minutes took the game to Netley and on two occassions went close. Netley then started to get into the game and after 10 minutes took the lead. They then got a 2nd due to a very lucky bounce of the ball. Astro then had a good period of possession and almost pulled a goal back when J. Budd brought a good save from the Netley keeper. With only four minutes left to half time Netley broke away and scored a third. It was a good first half performance by the lads during which, when needed, C. Kernick handled the ball well.
Astro seemed to start the 2nd half a little slowly and conceded a fourth in th 40th minute. They did have periods of play where they knocked the ball around and were clearly trying to play football. They were rewarded in the 45th minute when the ball broke to A. King who slotted it past the keeper. Netley were then awarded a free kick about 25 yards out from which they scored and they continued to score at regular intervals and they finally made it nine from the penalty spot in the 59th minute.
Although this was a heavy defeat with a litle more tighter defending a number of the goals could possibly have been prevented.
